Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

FMLA or Not?

I have been asked by my employer to provide proof of receiving allergy shots, I leave 4pm on Friday and time is made up during lunch or come in early. I decided to pick a new allergist and now they want a retroactive note. When I first started I provided a note in which they have lost. Do I have to provide retroactive proof? Is this really FMLA? HELP.

Re: FMLA or Not?

It's not Family & Medical Leave Act(FMLA)leave unless you've made the specific request for this kind of intermittent leave under FMLA, which normally requires advance written notice to the employer using the appropriate forms.
