Once an employee has used all of their hours under fmla, how long does the employee have to work prior to going back on fmla? Does it matter if it is for a different reason?

A least another 1250 hours wihin the 12 months preceding the new request.

No, the reason doesn't matter as long as it qualifies as one of the reasons specified for allowable leave under the Act.
