Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia
fmla
My fiance just started a new job and
found out she is one month pregnant,
her current employer says she does not
qualify for fmla because she has not
worked there for a year. Legal?

Yes.(See FAMILY & MEDICAL LEAVE ACT SEC 101 DEFINITIONS (2) ElIGIBLE EMPLOYEE(A)(i)must be employed at least 12 months with the employer from whom the leave is requested and (ii)must have worked at least 1250 hours for that employer during the previous 12 month period.)
