Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

FMLA and harassment at home

Hi,

My colleague is on FMLA after her back surgery; we are both high school teachers. My colleague has been called at home and has been verbally instructed to get her lesson plans done. The assistant principal has called her at home stating this. Also, the department head from school went to my co-worker's house this afternoon; my friend has not been released from FMLA. The dept. head said my colleague was expected to get her lesson plans completed asap. Isn't this harassment since she is not required to do any work related activities while covered under FMLA?

What are your thoughts on this and what should my colleague do to protect her rights under FMLA?
