Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

FMLA isn't it the law to post info. response #2

Thanks for the reply. I don't really feel my mission is to have anyone sued. I do feel my employers NEED to better inform employees so they have info. on FMLA. I was recently penalized on my evaluation for missing days covered under FMLA. I feel this is unfair practice and that was when I learned my employer did not have the appropriate postings in place. I made my human resource for the school district aware of this fact. She is looking into it, so I was told.

I have already talked with her about the lack of info. available to employees and how everyone concerned needs to be better informed. What should I do at this point? And thank you! I am learning so much from you!

Seems to me that you've taken the actions which may have needed to be taken in regard to the posting problem. However,, if you were penalized by your employer for taking pre-approved FMLA leave, you may wish to consider filing a grievance against the compoany or pursuing under your employment whatever other administrative remedies that may be available to you.
