Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

Fmla leave

I have a FMLA certification on file with my employer. My boss is now asking for a seperate doctor's note each time I am out for this condition. Shouldn't the the certification be all that should be required to confirm my condition? I feel I am being harassed since no one else who has FMLA is being asked to provide a doctor's note. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Fmla leave

If the first certification provided by the eligible employee met the sufficiency requirements of Sec. 103(b)of the Act, subsequent recertifcation may be requested by the employer under Sec. 103(e) "on a reasonable basis".

The scenario which you've described would not appear to qualify as such reasonable basis.
