Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

FMLA urgent question

Are you protected under FMLA when your supervisor makes threat that he will fire you if you miss work again for 2 days because you were sick? Even when you are able to provide a doctor's note? Please advice

Thanks

Re: FMLA urgent question

If the leave which you're referring to was not specifically FMLA leave and you have no contract of employment preventing you from being summarily terminated, the answer then to your question is very likely that you have no protection whatsoever from being fired in the manner threatened by your supervisor.
