Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

harrassment for leave

I informed my employer that I needed surgery the day after I found out. The approx time between notice and the surgery a little more than three weeks. I have been told by the employer that there is no paperwork I need to fill out. I will be out three to six weeks. It has been made very clear to me by my supervisor that they do not like the time I CHOOSE

to have my surgery(I do not CHOOSE to ever have surgery).. I was given a summary of the events with the last line being , We welcome your thoughts an trust that this situation will be resolved to our mutual satisfaction.

Can this be considered harrassment under FMLA? My employer has more than 50 employees.

Re: harrassment for leave

If the employer has approved your FMLA leave, that's all that matters.
