can new mothers in VA receive disabitiy pay

if your not eligible to take FMLA. Can new mothers get 6weeks of short-term disability pay?

Short term disability pay would be available for pregnancy leave for Virginia full or part time salaried employees of the Commonwealth. The specific benefits provided are described in the VSDP(Virginia Sickness and Disability Program) handbook. The program is administered by the Virginia Retirement System.
