Pay during Family Medical Leave

Is it possible to take Family Medical Leave and receive unemployment pay or any other kind of pay during this time off?

If you have deliberately removed yourself from

active employment via the FMLA for a pre-determined period of time, you would not be eligible for unemployment compensation which requires, among other things, that one be actively seeking employment.
