Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

wokring from home while on medical leave

My boss has agreed to me working part-time from home while on maternity leave. She has requested that in addition to the required paperwork, I compose a letter of intent outlining my plan. In the event that I decide not to return to work on a full time basis at the end of my leave, can the letter be used against me by my employer to pay the difference for insurance? Is it routine for employers to request a letter?

Re: wokring from home while on medical leave

1. Probably not, unless, perhaps, you agreed to pay this part of the difference in the letter outlining your plan(whatever that might be).

2. No.
