Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia
Authority to interrogate
Does a person who is not a police officer or a government agent have the authority to interrogate another person? For instance can a boss interrogate his employee? Not question, but interrogate, using for instance a Reid technique.

Re: Authority to interrogate
There is no "authority" if you mean legal authority for such interrogation but the would be questioner doesn't require it. He or she is free to attempt to ask anyone any questions
she or he may want but the "interrogee" doesn't have to answer such questions unless he or she wants to.
