Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

A civil case in Virginia was recently dismissed by the circuit court by

Rule 2(A)(6)because no dismissal order had been sent to the court. The court had been advised that the parties were about to settle. Unfortunately, the parties did not settle. Can a motion to bring the case back on the docket be made or do we have to file a new case?

Most likely you will need to file a new case (in my opinion).
