Does the clerk accept faxed or photocopied pleadings, or is an original signature necessary? According to what Rule of Procedure?

In MD, Rule 1-322(b) says "A photocopy or facsimile copy of a pleading or paper, once filed with the court, shall be treated as an original for all court purposes. The attorney or party filing the copy shall retain the original from which the filed copy was made for prodcuction to the court upon the request of the court or any party.

I wondered if VA, and if DC, have the same rule and if so, where are they found in their procedural handbooks?

Thank you.

No. VA and DC require original signed papers.
