Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

A female I know posted my address on the topix.com forum. She included references to my being a "snitch." This went on for several weeks before I got to the correct individual who finally removed the post. I have copies of the original forum. Two nights ago (1/26/11) someone came to my apartment and vandalized my vehicle. They spray painted the words "snitches will die," "snitch," etc. All four of my tires were punctured and four shots from a semi-automatic weapon went into my front bumper. Police recovered 4 spent bullet cases from the grass beside my apartment. Whoever did this at one point tried to enter my dwelling by forcing open the door. I believe that the neglect on behalf of topix.com put my life in danger as well as the lives of individuals living with me and my neighbors. Is this not a potential lawsuit for topix.com? Is anyone out there willing to take this one on?

Very unlikely the service provider could be legally liable for these crime(s) (in my opinion).

Your efforts would be better focused on discovering the identity of the

actual perpetrator (and any of those behind this criminal who may have put him up to it).
