Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

How do I fight a judgement. I sold my property in April 2010, I had 2 home equity loans, I did a short sale so all of the balance was not paid on the home equity loans, now I have 2 judgements for the balances on the home equity loans...................what to do, I have no money, I lost my job almost 3 years ago, no my job is only making only a quarter of what I use to make when I bought the property and took ou t the equity loans

You may want to consider filing bankruptcy. There are few other options in this situation, and even if you settle them you may incur tax liability for discharge of indebtedness.
