Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Garnishment summons

I have been issued a garnishment summons on a debt of which I was not a party to. It goes back to 1989 and I only met this person in 1995. My name is on his bank account. The Commonwealth of Virginia sent the summons to my house in my name. I would like to know if I can sue the Attorney who handled this in Winchester and the Creditor who initially had the garnmishment against my boyfriend. I am willing to pursue this further if you think I have a case against them. The lawyer had the money taken directly from the bank account on 3/25/08, but they have issued another summons to me alone. I would rather talk to someone and explain it in full. Please call me today if you can. I will be here until 5pm. Thank you.
