Guildelines for City Court filings in Virginia

May an attorney licensed to practice in Washington DC be allowed to file a suit against a former client in Alexandria CITY circuit court when the matter took place in Fairfax COUNTY and the defendants reside in Fairfax COUNTY?

The defendants can be sued in the city/county where they reside or work, or where the cause of action arose, and maybe in other venues. If there is no contact with Alexandria city, it may be possible to have venue transferred to Fairfax. If this was not done in bad faith, it is unlikely the case will be dismissed, only transferred.

Assuming that the attorney is suing for him or her/self and the defendant works within Alexandria City, then a proper venue for this action could include the city.
