Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Harassment

I'm being harassed by a former friend. This person is mentally ill and a servere alcoholic. She is angry that I severed ties with her, and has been retaliating by calling family members and making false accusations against me.

She called my grandson's father recently and said that I was abusing my grandson. I volunteer for an agency that helps abused/neglected children, and I'm afraid she'll go to my supervisors with these accusations. I'm also afraid she will start calling my husband's workplace, as she has done this in the past.

To complicate matters, she lives in Idaho, and I live in Virginia. This situation is causing me great stress. Is there anything I can to to protect myself? Thank you.
