Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Harassment by neighbor

my neighbor yells nasty comments over the fence to my wife when I am gone. When I try to talk to him,he ignores me. WHen I leave home,the harassment starts again.

Is there some law aginst this or should I beat his ass.

If you beat his posterior or any other part of him, you'll likely end up in cuffs charged with criminal assault and battery.

A better approach might be for you to call your local friendly law enforcement agency to see whether someone could come out to talk with the alleged harasser in the interest of maintaining peace in the neighborhood.
