Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia
judgements
Hello, when my old tenants did not pay the rent for 2 months I took them to court. they did not show but a judgment was placed in the couples names. They have since moved out. how do i ever see this money? i think the husband is unemployed and the wife is listed as an owner of an asphalt company. how do you garnish wages when she is the owner?

Re: judgements
Well, generaly speaking, this is one of things that experienced debt-colletion lawyers do. It is not easy and can be both tricky and a lot of work.
However, you can garnish any CLIENT of the business that owes money TO the business and require that part of that money be paid to you instead.
