legal term (Latin word(s) meaning ''too late for a case to be raised
Please e-mail me the Latin term that is used in the law when it has been too long after an event for a case to be brought to court. Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

"statute of limitations?" It's not Latin but it covers the timing of bringing a case.

You may be referring to the Latin-derived term known as "laches", which means something to the effect of sitting on one's rights for too long a period and thus having them expire.
