Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I live in an apartment complex my neighbors have been expierancing a lot of pest(infestation roaches). i have complained a few times to the staff but it seems they dont have the problem under control. The pest are coming into my home and are crawling in my newborn things. what can i do about the situation? Is it possible to get out of my agrement with the apartment complex and move?

No, the pest infestation which you've described is unlikely (in my opinion) to

be construed as what Virginia law calls a "constructive eviction" which would

allow you to prematurely terminate your lease without penalty.

You might, however, consider making a request to transfer to another

unit in the complex which may have less of a problem with this infestation.
