Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

payroll deductions

We just found out that my husband's work hasn't paid the health insurance, but they have been deducting payments from his weekly paychecks on a regular basis. The insurance was cancelled 1/31/09 and they didn't tell us. Do we have any legal course to sue them, get the insurance reinstated and get our money reimbursed?

Re: payroll deductions

Find out their explanation(s) for this

lapse before you undertake any legal action against them (would be my recommendation, particularly if your husband wants to continue his employment with this outfit which may not excel at record keeping).

Re: payroll deductions

Yes. You might also have an attorney do a well worded letter, though, before you sue. Good luck.
