Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

how can i persue illegal services being used in a former residence? i need the steps to do so as this is very new. the situation- my ex kicked my son and i out.... i had the dominion bill in my name, the meter is in the backyard which is fenced in, dominion will not enter the backyard without consent from the residence..... i have contacted local police, they say they can not do anything as it is a civil matter. . how civil is it when my ex is racking up a bill to now almost 800 bucks!

Sue the current occupier of this former residence

for the $800.00+ court costs in your local small

claims court.

Send written notice to the utility provider regarding the

situation and that you cannot be responsible for any further

charges for power to this particular residence.
