Power of Attorney wrongly used money

My mother became power of attorney for her uncle recently. His past power of attorney did not pay his nursing home bills which run about $3,000, and his bank account was cancelled from insufficient funds. What kind of lawyer does my mother need to talk to fight for her uncle's money back that was not used to his benefit?
