Rent contract
If three people are renting a house all three names are on the lease and one person wants to break the contract and leave early can all three names on the lease be sued for the remaining rent owed or just the name that leaves.

The landlord can sue all 3 unless there is a provision in the lease which would state otherwise. The remaining tenants would have their own cause of action against the tenant who stops paying his or her agreed upon share of the rent, thereby causing a breach of the lease contract.
