Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Revealing Personal Information

Can a person be sued by an individual if the person shows a copy of a legal notice that was advertised in the newspaper to someone and that individual finds out about it? I was threatened with this situation. Were they bluffing?

Re: Revealing Personal Information

This question is mired in murkiness for

lack of clarity in its essential terms, and, therefore, can not be reliably answered in its present form.

For starters, such terms in dire need of clarification include the term sued by an individual. Sued for what and by whom? Copy of a legal notice. What kind of legal notice, placed in a newspaper for what purpose? Advertised to someone. Who is this someone? Who's making threats, what kind of threats, based upon what?

Until the above questions are plausibly answered, chances are your question will remain mired in murkiness and consequently unanswered.
