My friend borrowed my car, he was robbed and the car was stolen. It was a total loss, he refuses to give any compensation so that I can get another car. What can I do legally?

Re: Stolen Vehicle

You can file suit against him, either in small claims court or general district court, depending upon the fair market value of the car, and obtain a judgment against him which can then be utilized to garnish his wages, levy against his bank account or effect other types of enforcement actions in order to collect on the judgment.
