Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I had a subpoena taped to my door for my spouse and I. We weren't handed the papers and we aren't even witnesses in the case. It was a fight that happened at our house but my spouse wasn't even home and I was upstairs sleeping. Do we have to go?
