Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Sue???

I am being sued for something that

happend in Europe..can that even hold

up in civil courts in the U.S.?

If you live in Va., or elsewhere in the US, you can be sued where you live for matters that took place anywhere. However, you have the right to object on the grounds that this is a seriously inconvenient forum, and that you would consent to have the case heard in another more convenient forum, in which case the court may dismiss the case in favor of the other court.
