Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia
Tax Lien
I am looking for legal advice on how to get a tax lien removed from my credit. Long story short, my son with the same name, rented an apartment, failed to pay, was sued and judgment rendered against him and due to no fault of my own (other than naming him after me) the tax lien shows up on my credit. I took the plaintiff back to court and in front of the judge it was determined that now the agreement was not with me but the judge believes it is my duty to have the lien removed from name and not that of the court. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Re: Tax Lien
You have the right to submit your version of this adverse item on your credit report(up to 250 words)to each of the three major credit reporting agencies, but as you've apparently learned, the court will not be inclined to become involved in this kind of situation.
