You can only extend your visa if it is still valid. Since the visa expired on June 2nd, you are no longer able to apply for an extension. Please feel free to contact me at 415-273-9123 or [email protected] to discuss this matter further.

You should have been issued a visa stamp and an I94 (arrival-departure record). The I-94 should contain a date certain by which your authorized period of stay in the United States ends. If your I-94 has expired then you cannot change or extend your status in the United States. Depending on how long you have been accruing unlawful presence in the United States, you should visit an immigration attorney who can help you plan your next steps before you attempt to apply for a new visa at your home consulate. The visa is a travel document and does not dictate your authorized period of stay in the United States.
