deportation/ decrimination
I have a friend that is a haiti citizen that was in the states on a work vista that was charged with gun possion,plead guilty and served his time 26months.still being detained, filed a hatis corpus to be released or deported back to hati. what steps should he do or how should he get contact with when he feels that his rights have been violated

Your friend needs an attorney familair with current American immigration law. If he cannot afford to hire such on his own, perhaps, an NGO such as Catholic Charities could help him out with an attorney at a reduced or no cost to assist him with his current immigration predicament.
