Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
Expired Canadian visa living in US, getting married
My girlfriend and I want to get married. Her visa expired over 10 years ago. She has been living in the US for 15 years with an expired Canadian visa. I am retired military, if that has any bearing on things. Would like to know if getting married is possible, and would she have to go back to Guyana.

As long as your girlfriend entered the USA legally, she should be alright in adjusting status from within the USA. I strongly advise against her travelling outside the USA while her spousal petition / adjustment application are being processed. All of the aforementioned is viable provided that you, the sponsor, are a US citizen.
