Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

I am currently in F1 status and have always maintained my status. My wife (LPR) had filed I130 for me, which has already been approved. My priority date is Jan 13, 2008. In the visa bulletin released for July 2010, the cut off date for family 2A category is July 1, 2008. When can I file I485 at the earliest? Do I need to wait till July 2010 or can I file it immediately?

The earliest date you can file I-485 is July 1, 2010.

Since your priority date as per the visa bulletin is not current for the month of June, you must wait until July 01 to file I-485. We have explanation of priority dates here: www.h1b1.com/visawaiting.htm
