Green Card Application for Parent and Bother

Hi there, i'm a permanent green card holder (still need some time to be able to apply for the citizenship) and wanted to see what my chances are to get the green card process started for my mother and my brother.

I'd be interested in the requierments and the whole process... Thanks a lot in advance, have a great day.

Re: Green Card Application for Parent and Bother

Your chances of getting green cards for your mother and brother will be much better if you delay sponsoring them until you've become a U.S. citizen yourself. Otherwise, they'll have to await until a visa priority date comes up for each of them which could be years after you submit the initial paperwork as a lawful permanent resident rather than as a U.S. citizen(depending upon where in the visa priority date "pecking order" their native lands lie).

There is virtually no waiting period required for

immediate relatives of U.S. citizens who are sponsored for green cards.
