Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
Green Card and Divorce
I am a citizen who sponsored my wife's green card. She got it 8 months ago. I know this is the temporary card since I have to re-apply in 2 years in order to get the permanent one. We had been married for less than 3 years at application. If we divorce next month, does she have the right to continue using the green card. We have a child 2 years old.
As the citizen sponsor, am I required by law to report to the immigration once I divorce her? If she goes out of the country before the 2-year card expires can she return?
Does the child born in USA help her to stay in the country?
Does she have immigration rights after divorce

Re: Green Card and Divorce
After you are divorced, she can file application with CIS to request remove the condition of the green card by herself.
