Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

Hello,

I am a permanent Green-Card holder since 4 years ago. Due to a family affair, I need to stay more than a month out of the USA. Would that damage my naturalization procedure start? How long am I allowed to be out of the USA without damaging my naturalization application\procedure to start, which I understand is after 5 years of my Green-Card and then Im eligible. Thank you for your time and all your help.

Best regards,

David

As long as your out of country tenure doesn't exceed 180 days, I believe it should have no effect on your petition for naturalization.
