Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
My husband is on an L1 visa, and I am on an L2. My Husband would like to leave his job, which obviously means that our visa will become invalid. Do we have a grace period in which to pack up all our stuff/sell stuff/tie up all the loose ends? We are UK citizens, does this mean that even though the visa has expired we can stay in the US and travel for a few weeks as a holiday, or would we have to leave the US and come back in as regular visitors? Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no grace period if you quit an employment sponsored visa position. You would have to depart & return on a B-2 if you wanted to be in legal status. However, you would only face a bar to readmission if you accrued 180 days or more of illegal presence in the United States.
