Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
I485 withdraw due to divorce
My I140 was approved, but I485 is still pending. I am the principal applicant, my wife is the dependant of my application. If we are going to divorce, can I withdraw her application, but still keep mine? Can I write to BCIS about my case? otherwise, how to do it? THanks a lot.

Yes, you can withdraw your wife's application and are not required to continue with your sponsorship of her. BCIS may have a special form for this action or you can probably notify them by letter. You would be well advised to contact
yout BCIS area office to determine what method is either preferred or required in order for you to undertake this action in the correct way.
