Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
Can L2 visa holders work without an EAD with valid I-94 and marriage certificate? SSA official website claims this while nothing is given on USCIS website.

Hi,
You must have valid EAD in order to work in L2 visa status. General information about the L1 visa category is here: www.h1b1.com/L1visa.htm

An L2 spouse can work, but he or she must apply for authorization to do so. The spouse has to wait until employment authorization is granted and the EAD is issued.
