Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

Can i use of ''life act'' to bring my wifehere?

HI

I am a USA permanent Resident since 08/07/2000 and I applied For my wife for I-130 and my Notice Date is

August 21, 2001. Recently, I have heard of ''NEW V-VISA'', or life act, and my understanding is that I should have applied

for her before December 22, 2000 to be able to use of this opportunity. My question is that if INS going to change this Date every year? and for

example will my wife be able to use of this kind of visa next year? we are from Iran. can I apply for her at all or

not? Because I think they dont give any kind of None-immigrant Visa to citizens of my country.

And my other Question is may I use of my USA mailing address when I am applying for her In DV-2005 instead

of her mailing Address in my country? I do not trust my countries postal system!!!

Sincerely

I have no information regarding the new visa you have referred to and whether the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services will continue to change the effective date for its usage. You would be best advised to make inquiry

of this agency's office nearest to where you now live for an answer to this question.

Regarding your other question as to whether you can use your U.S. address in your application sponsoring your wife's admission to this country, the answer is, yes, of course, as long as you yourself are a legal resident and the address itself is valid.
