Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
i have a permanent residence card since 04/10/2007 based on an asylum based petition. When am i legally eligible to apply for citizenship, i looked up online and on several places including wikipedia and other links i found out that i was eligible to apply to apply for citizenship after 3 years and 9 months however when i called uscis they said i am not eligible to apply until january 2012 which would be 4 years and 9 months. Please advice
