Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

I have a question regarding applying for US citizenship on form N-400 Good moral character. MY driving license in a good standing now but in 2000 my driver license got suspended for 6 months for speeding / reckless and a fine of $500 in fairfax county, VA. I am not sure how to answer these \"Good Moral Character\" questions on N-400:\n15. Have you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested? Yes/No\n16. Have you ever been arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement official? Yes/No\n17. Have you ever been charged with committing any crime or offense? Yes/No\n18. Have you ever been convicted of a crime or offense? Yes/No\n20. Have you ever received a suspended sentence, been placed on probation, or been paroled? Yes/No \n\nThanks in advance \n

If you were convicted of reckless driving in Fairfax County and fined $500 that is a criminal misdemeanor (class 1)offense which must be disclosed on your N-400.

You were obviously cited for this in 2000 when you were pulled over for speeding and reckless driving, so yes, you must disclose this on the N-400. It's not going to be serious enough for your citizenship application to be denied but if you hide it, it would be.
