question on i-94 in h1b transfer

hi

am currently on my 2nd year of my h1....i converted from f1 to h1 in oc1 st 2007...and received a change of status i-94 along wtih my h1b approval intially.........so,never left USA since then to get my h1b visa on my passport........

now,i have another offer, and thinking of doing a h1b transfer.........

if i apply for a h1b transfer, will i get a new i-94?

and if dont get a i-94 along wtih my h1b transfer approval, should i have to leave the US immediatley or

can i continue working for my new employer, with the original i-94 that is valid until oct 1st 2010

please clarify

Some point you need to go to your home country to get the most latest H1b stamped in your passport.

If you have not violated your H-1 status, then you are entitled to a new I-94, otherwise, you'd have to depart the U.S. to pick up a new H-1 visa and the new I-94 issued at the airport would be for a longer time, conforming to the new H-1 petition.
