Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
I have recently tried to go to the US and while I was doing immigration in Miami they found out I had over stayed for a longer period that I was suppose to in the past, they made me stay in the immigration offices for 2 days and I was also threaten that if I would come back again they would put me up in jail for over 3 months, they didn't tell me my rights and just gave me a bunch of papers so sign and asked a lot of questions about my personal life and questions about relatives of mine that also live in the US.
Can they really put me to jail if trying to come back and do what they did to me?

Hello:
No. However, rather than worry about that, you might want to look into an employment based work visa.
