Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

removal proceeding

i am in removal proceeding for overstaying my student visa after i graduated from my college. i filed for asylum in a month after i overstayed my visa. my case has been denied by the board of immigration. if a company has decided to sponsor me for HI-B in IT sector, can i file for HI-B without leaving the country? also, i have work authorization which is not expired till November '09. is the work authorization card valid even after me being ordered to be removed from the country? I would appreciate your help. thanks a lot.

Re: removal proceeding

Your work authorization became void the instant your case was denied. The expiration date is now moot. You must apply for the HIB from outside the USA since you no longer have status within the USA. Make certain you leave within six months of your denial to avoid facing bars to re-entry.
