Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

Stamping H4 Visa on Passport

Currently, I am on OPT but employer has filed an H1 that I will have in my hand by next week (Premium processing). Once I have the H1 in my hand, my wife will file a request for H4 visa in US embassy in Pakistan.

I am wondering if it is a condition or requirement that H1 should be stamped on my passport before my wife can request to obtain and have H4 visa stamped on her passport?

In case h1 stamping on my passport is necessary before my wife can apply for H4, can I ask my wife to travel to US on OPT papers and F2 visa that is already stamped on her passport?

Re: Stamping H4 Visa on Passport

Once your H1B is officially approved by USCIS,

that should be sufficient for your wife to apply for her H4 visa at the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan without the necessity of having your H1 visa status formally stamped in your passport.
