Travel during H1 Transfer is pending

I have a visa valid till Sep 2009 from Company A. I shifted to company B in Nov 2007 and have the approval notice and I-94 attached. Now, i've transfered to Company C. The approval is still pending for Company C. I'm planning to travel by end of Feb '09. Can i travel, if i dont get my approval till then? if i can travel, which i-94 / other docs should i produce during my travel?

Please advice.

It likely depends upon what your I-94 indicates, i.e, whether there is a particular expiration date indicated on this arrival/departure card record by which you must depart the U.S. or whether it simply is noted DOS (Duration of Status). If the latter, you should be able to travel outside the U.S. and return with no problem as long as you remain in status and

are able to produce upon proper request the most recent I-94 which you've received.
